This has got to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is new so everything is to a ultra modern standard, very clean and comfortable. Its located only 5 minute drive from Table Mountain cable car and the waterfront. And as for the food, well it was simply brilliant. Best food I ever had! And they have free internet. This is located in the city centre so don't expect a huge pool and tranquil green gardens. But used as a base in CT its ideal.

Clean, fresh rooms, great location and friendly staff made for a pleasant stay. The hotel is currently expanding, so if one is looking for piece and quiet and lazy mornings, at least mid-term this is not the ideal hotel. The swimming pool is also very small, so don't expect to lay around there relaxing.

The hotel lives up to the photos posted on their website. Photos are usually deceptive, but the pictures posted on their cite, actually give an accurate picture of what a visitor can expect. The air conditioner did not work the first night we arrived, but they transferred us to a different room, and the problem was corrected. Management and staff were professional, friendly and provided excellent service. Use of their internet was available 24 hours. I would highly recommend this hotel. Their bar closes at 1 PM, which is a little early.

If you want a hotel that's different from the normal then this is the one! It is tucked in a little side street right off the main road which takes you straight down to the waterfront, so convenient. Hotel is modern and quirky, clean, and the staff are so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is buffet style, hot and cold (fire and ice) and so much to choose from, there was more than enough to keep us going during the day, every day. The only downfall was that it was impossible to use the pool, as it was not a suitable size and it was outside in a very cold, windy situation, - but the good news is they are extending next door and a new one is going in - should be ready by September this year, so don't be put off by trying this hotel. All the other benefits make up for the lack of the pool.

This hotel is definitely catering to a young "MTV" crowd, and could have focused more on the basics such as the toilet seat slipping every time you sit on it. Having said that the overall experience of the hotel was good... pretty good food in the restaurant, staff was always extremely helpful and nice, and the location while not centrally located is still close enough to most of the sights in cape town. You can walk to loop street, but cab it to waterfront or table mountain. The milk shake bar was a hit with us!

the service was excelent from the minute we walked into the place. the funky theme gave it a unique feeling although the rooms were a liitle small. however, the location was perfect for Table Mountain, roads to Cape point, shopping at the Waterfront and for the many good food establishments.

I stayed in the fire and ice on my own for two nights before my boyfriend arrived. The location is brilliant about 3 minutes walk to the Long Street Baths. Safe to walk during the day, catch a taxi in the evenings. The reception staff were so helpeful booking spa's treatments at last minute and recommending near by restaurants for sushi! I took the open top bus tour around the city one of the stops is close to the hotel very handy for getting around. The rooms are a little on the small size, but everything you need is in the room, no space wasted. Great bar, and the toliets are a must. Without a doubt I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

I had a fantastic stay at the Fire and Ice. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was funky and modern, the food was fantastic and basically I had a great time. The only downside is that the location is not as central as I was hoping, but staff calls taxis for you and it only took about 5 minutes each time.

My boyfriend and I booked here for our last night in Cape Town. Admittedly not the easiest to find at first but this is soon forgotten as it is a great, unique hotel. The themed lifts, cool restaurant, bar, pool outside, and modern rooms, with excellent service from all staff means I highly recommend a stay at this hotel. The rooms are small but enough space plus the bed is very comfortable making up for a smaller set up. All in all a very fun experience.

The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel was only two years old and very funky. We really enjoyed that different aspect especially the lifts and toliets in the lobby. Good value for money. We loved it! Only issue people may have is the glass showers in the bedrooms but it just went with the new and funky feel.

The moment we walked through the door to check into this hotel the customer service was brilliant. As soon as we arrived our bags were taken care of and a mug of hot chocolate appeared for us! The staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with anything we required, including arranging transport and sightseeing tours. Our room was very nice, it was comfortable and very clean, but was quite small. The restaurant is very good and has a wide range with excellent breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront and a short taxi drive from the Table Mountain cablecar.I can't say enough good things about this hotel and would stay there again.
